NALS of Central Ohio welcomes new members from Columbus and the surrounding Central Ohio counties. Any person may join who is employed in work of a legal nature, which includes legal secretaries, paralegals, legal assistants, court personnel, law librarians, law office administrators, law office records managers, lawyers, judges, any person employed in the courts, trust departments of banks or trust companies, or in any public or private institution, including the public offices of the United States government, states, cities, counties or municipalities. Our association is a multi-level association composed of (1) national, (2) state, and (3) local membership. The following membership choices are available...

Individual Member- Members receive all publications (@Law, the national magazine; Buckeye Briefs, the state bulletin; and the Capital Connection, our local bulletin; mailings from Region 3; notices of upcoming events, seminars, announcements, etc.). Members have the opportunity to vote on all national, state, and local offices, and have the opportunity to join other state and local associations as a secondary member. Cost of individual membership is $116 (plus a one-time $10 NALS processing fee). That’s about $.32 a day and well worth every penny!

Associate Member- Educators, judges, and attorneys are eligible for associate membership. Cost of tri-level associate membership is $71.

Student Member- Full-time students attending an accredited program relating to work of a legal nature. Cost of tri-level student membership is $45.

Lifetime Member- Any individual may apply for NALS lifetime membership. Dues paid for NALS lifetime membership are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and shall be effective only during such period as the life member qualifies as an individualmember. The cost of life membership is $750. State and local dues are paid annually and are not included in the cost of life membership.

By joining NALS you have the opportunity to attend local chapter meetings where quality legal education is offered every month. You also have the opportunity to attend state association meetings where you will be exposed to some of the top legal experts in our state. At NALS meetings speakers from across the country address issues of national importance, enlightening our members with a national perspective.
